Man Drowns at Morrisburg Docks Despite Life-Saving Efforts
A 43-year-old man from North Dundas has died following a drowning incident at the Morrisburg Docks on the St. Lawrence River.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of a drowning at approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday evening. According to police, the man had been swimming when he experienced a suspected medical complication and became distressed in the water.
Bystanders at the scene acted quickly and were able to pull the man from the river. Emergency responders arrived shortly after, and paramedics immediately began CPR in an effort to save his life. Despite these life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
