Respiratory Mask Fit Testing is available with Winnipeg First Aid. We offer N95, half and full respiratory mask fittings for academic and workplace requirements. This is the required course for Health Sciences workers, individuals that work with potentially harmful gases and airborne substances as well as nurses and nursing students. Participants enrolled in this qualitative and quantitative respiratory mask fit testing will learn how to don and remove a mask, increase tension, do seal testing, recognize the importance of mask fittings and learn the appropriate size and fit of the mask best suited for them. Certification is provided immediately upon successful completion of the fitting. We have 3M N95 available.
The cost of a N95 mask fit test, or any other half and full respiratory mask fitting is $35.00 (includes all applicable taxes). Please let us know what respiratory mask fitting you need outside of a N95 mask. If you bring your own mask then the charges will be $25.00.
The test takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
20 minutes prior to attending the mask fit test please do not eat, drink or chew gum. Please be clean shaven.

No refunds and transfers are available within 72 hours of the first appointment. Prior to this time participants can receive a full refund. There are no refunds for rescheduled events.
Students are strongly advised to check with their employer prior to enrollment to ensure the certification meets their requirements.
If you are unsure as to whether we do a qualitative / quantitative test on the masks in your workplace please let us know before hand by calling or emailing us.
A 50% fee will be charged for each additional fit test as required.
