To be eligible for CPR HCP / BLS recertification, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Completed a full or recertification course within the past 1 year.
- Provide a valid certification card from a recognized provider, such as:
- St. John Ambulance
- Canadian Red Cross
- St. Mark James Training
- Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Lifesaving Society
- Expired certification cards will not be accepted.
- Participants who fail to present a valid certification card at the start of the class will not receive a recertification card.

Candidates that successfully complete the skills component and the multiple choice test with a minimum score of 75% will receive a workplace-approved CPR HCP / BLS and AED certificate that is valid for one (1) year.
