A 32-year old man sustained non-life threatening injuries from an alleged shooting incident in Yarmouth. The RCMP is requesting the help of the public in identifying the occupants of a red pickup truck.
Unforeseen incident
The RCMP responded to a call on Regent Street. Based on an RCMP media release, a 911 caller informed the police that there were people smashing a parked vehicle and gunshots were heard in the area.
According to RCMP Corporeal Jennifer Clarke, upon arrival of the RCMP on the scene, they discovered the injured man which was given emergency care.

A suspect vehicle which was identified as a red pickup truck was found by an RCMP officer but police say that it sped away from the scene. The RCMP did not locate the vehicle. There were no specific details on the truck.
One arrest was made. The RCMP did arrest one man near Regent Street on a wooden trail. He was with a second man who left the area on foot.
The RCMP seized the truck that was burned on Regent Street. The Yarmouth Fire Department was dispatched past 97 Regent St. but were only on scene for a brief period.
