36-Year-Old Man Shot Outside Downtown Edmonton Business Dies Despite CPR Efforts

A fatal shooting in downtown Edmonton has claimed the life of a 36-year-old man, despite rapid emergency response and CPR efforts by paramedics. The incident occurred just after 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at a commercial property near 97th Street and 105A Avenue.

What Happened

Police say officers were called to the scene after reports of a shooting outside a business in the area. Officers were seen entering Aftermath Autohaus and the neighbouring Carproof Auto Repair, while the alley behind the buildings was taped off as investigators searched for evidence.

Blood could be seen on the driveway of Aftermath Autohaus, along with personal belongings believed to belong to the victim, including a jacket and a fanny pack. Police confirmed that several people were outside the business when the shooting occurred.

A nearby resident told reporters that two ambulances arrived at the scene and Paramedics worked urgently to resuscitate the victim. Despite these life-saving efforts, the man later died from his injuries.
