Candidates enrolled in this course will learn to recognize and treat victims of the following emergencies:
- Unconscious and breathing adult, child and infant victims.
- Unconscious and not breathing adult, child and infant victims.
- Conscious and conscious with an obstructed airway adult, child and infant victims.
- Requiring the use of a automated external defibrillator.
- Unconscious and vomiting victims.
- Unconscious and regurgitating victims.
- Victims suffering from shock.
- Victims suffering through a circulatory emergency such as a heart attack, angina or stroke.
